General Description
Rose Otto. Skin care: mature and sensitive complexions, wrinkles. Gives a feeling of well-being and happiness when used in massage, nice to use during labour to massage the lower back. Lovely mixed with rosehip and peach kernel oil used as carriers. One either loves or hates rose otto. If you love rose it will probably be your favourite fragrance of all the oils. Sandalwood Mysore gives a good base note, to rose blends.
Historical Background
The Greek poet Sappho in the 6th century BC described Rose as being the 'Queen of the Flowers'.
Properties
Relaxing, de-stressing, aphrodisiac, tonic.
Base Products
Rose Oil has at least 300 known constituents. Rose Otto has more citronellol, geraniol than Neroli and Rose Maroc.
